By the end of the course the student should be able to recognize and practice basic knowledge of biology needed to understand basic principles of environmental science needed for all future careers and evolutionary and organismal biology needed for medical careers.

Biology G.10-G12- Course Methodology

A year is divided into 4 Quarters

Each Quarter is not less than 8 weeks

W1 to w6:-

 one week – one topic

Each topic is supplied with resources in the form of videos, text pages, pdf

resources, ppt. resources, and/or virtual classes. You can find them in ‘Resources-

files”

Revision Sheet:

A revision sheet with answers is given in the “Question Bank” it weighs about 50-100 questions or problems.

Weekly Homework:

A homework- open book sheet- is given. It contains about 40 questions for 20 marks. You need to answer all questions. Please, download, solve then answer. You have 3 trials to get the best marks for your homework.

Weekly Quiz:

A weekly quiz is given of about 20 questions for 20 marks. It is time limited. You have three trials for the best. the program will calculate the average and choose the best in your marks sheet.

Marks:

You will gain a mark out of 20 for your homework and another 20 marks for the test.

you will get a 40 marks a week.

Week 7:

A revision sheet with model answers is given for the whole quarter work

Week 8:

A Quarter Exam is given out of 40 marks.

The whole quarter evaluation will out of 40 marks and will be based on:

average of the 6 weeks = 40

quarter exam                 = 40 marks

sum                                = 80 marks /2 ==> 40 marks

The whole year will be the average of the 4 quarters.

This is your course work

some schools adopt this course work for your g.p.a while others evaluate them as 38 and the rest 2 marks of the 40 as g.p,a is evaluated on your SAT/ ACT scores. They have their reason as the accrediting agency compare the g.p.a with your SAT score for the authenticity of the mark evaluations.

Note: all your work is printable as pdf and you can print as a hard copy if asked for.
