Course work through kab. Academy* lms., is a text based course.
It is planned and ordered in a way to suit most of the schools it serves.
All books match the Common Core State Standards and modifications through states curriculums and the school mission and vision are school issues. Till the moment the site is in full corporation and coordination with the academic staff of the school, the site will work text based with multiple make up trials for the students to give them the best chance to improve and perfect and to get the best marks they deserves.
Courses will be Glenco-based and Harcourt-based for the first academic year.
From then on, the site will react and modify to suit the changes and instructions of the academic staff of the schools it serves.
Kab-academy.lms., is suitable for distant learning programs offered by some schools and for students who run home schooling programs to apply for some schools or colleges.
The following arrangement is adopted by Kab-academy.lms.
1- Quarters/Trimesters:
The course distribution is quarter based. It can be modified to trimester distribution on request if the school asks for it.
A quarter is 8 weeks and the curriculum is distributed on weekly basis, one week-one topic. From Week1 to Week 6; a topic is taught. Quarter revision and project discussion are done in Week 7 and quarter exams are held in the week 8.
2- Resources:
A pdf copy of the text book and relevant practice books are on the site from day 1.
Every topic is supported with topic explanations in the form of power point sheets, teacher notes, videos and net resources links.
Revision sheet is comprehensive and tests most knowledge in the quarter.
It serves as a good preparation for the quarter exam papers.
Onsite live sessions are available. Just contact the teacher for his/her schedule.
3- Assessment:
A weekly homework sheet will be found in the student file on the site. The student downloads the homework, answers it and upload answers to be corrected in the moment and gain his marks. A hard copy draft may be appreciated by some schools as evidence of the student interest and care.
The answer sheet on site gives immediate correction marks and offers you two chances for makeups.
Marks for homework appear automatically on the student mark sheet and statistical data for the school is available.
Reports are available to the student, parents, teacher and school admin for monitoring the student progress.
The school admin or academic dean has a full access to all steps on the site.
Statistical analysis will help construct the following report:
- Student reports
- Student progress report
- Class report
- Class progress report
- A school academic over view.
The Board of Education in Kab-academy has a parallel policy for academic external review to schools and a well-developed program for the SAT in corporation with the STEPTEST COMPANY that is being applied in some schools.
Kab-academy* program is accredited by SGS-Egypt*, African Hope Foundation in Egypt* and is running an accreditation process with the Society of Arab Nations* and Canadian Council Office in Egypt.
